The USB-CANmodul2 is an extended version of our USB-CANmodul1 and has been developed as a very versatile and cost effective PC CAN-bus interface solution connecting CAN to the PC via USB. Due to the transparent tunneling of CAN messages the module can be used with CAN based high layer protocols like CANopen, SDS, DeviceNet or J1939*.
The newly integrated 32-bit CPU guarantees reliable communication, especially at high bus loads, and provides precise time stamps for the CAN messages.
The PC driver allows easy Plug&Play installation and supports simultaneous operation of up to 64 USB-CANmodul2 devices on one PC. Interfaces with low-speed or single-wire CAN transceivers are optionally available in different device versions. In addition, a digital 8-bit I/O expansion port can be optionally integrated. With a high flexibility at a very attractive price, the USB-CANmodul2 is ideally suited for CAN-bus based developments, service and maintenance tasks in extensive CAN-bus applications.
The USB-CAN fieldbus module complies with the EMC directive 2014/30/EU.
* On the software side you need for e.g. J1939 our CANinterpreter Add On, as well as a J1939 protocol stack.
