The compact PLCmodule-C32 is an all-round PLC for complex control tasks in the industrial sector. As a Linux-based compact PLC, the module is programmable in C/C++ and in IEC 61131-3. The IEC 61131-3 runtime kernel already contains a fully functional CANopen manager as well as function blocks for accessing the on-board peripherals.
The PLCmodule-C32 supports the simultaneous execution of IEC 61131-3 PLC programs and Linux applications. Shared memory enables simple data exchange between the IEC 61131-3 PLC program and any other Linux programs. A comprehensive IEC 61131-3 function block library provides fast access to all communication interfaces. Function blocks for high layer protocols, such as CANopen, are also available. The already integrated CANopen Manager functionality allows a flexible expandability or integration of other CANopen devices. Communication and data exchange with other devices via the Modbus protocol is supported by extended Modbus/TCP function blocks.
The PLCmodule-C32 is very well suited to act as a central module in distributed automation systems.
