Once development is complete, we also plan and implement the industrial series introduction of your components and devices for you, taking care of all relevant tasks.
Of course, the finished assemblies will be tested according to individual customer requirements, our internal quality guidelines, and the applicable norms and standards. During the launch phase, checks and tests are carried out via automated board and device testing procedures, which are primarily based on LabVIEW.These include the ICT tests (in-circuit test), Boundary SCAN, programming, high-voltage tests (HV-Test), burn-in tests and the functional test.
These tests comprise both intermediate tests based on the individual production stages, as well as complete end tests which include functional tests individually developed and built by us. With the help of these sophisticated and high-quality test procedures, we ensure that your equipment and systems work flawlessly and impeccably, paving the way for smooth series production.
To ensure the quality of series-production products at SYS TEC electronic, a number of different tests are carried out. This ensures optimum series introduction for your assemblies. These tests include:
- Automated optical inspection (AOI)
- In-circuit testing (ICT)
- High-voltage testing (HVT)
- Isolation testing
- Visual inspection (manual optical inspection – MOI)
- Burn-in testing
- Functional testing
- Boundary SCAN
The functional test is an integral part of quality assurance and is developed by our engineers. This kind of test station consists of standard IO devices and power supplies such as:
- Programmable power supplies
- Port converters (e.g. USB to CAN, CAN to Ethernet...)
- Programmable measuring devices
The individual system components form the second part. They comprise counterpoints for the device under test (DUT) (e.g. resistance loads, function simulators) that are not feasible with standard devices, and the testing adapter that contacts the DUT. This can be, for example, a needle-bed adaptor, a harness or a riser board. This hardware is developed and manufactured by SYS TEC Electronic itself, from the circuit to the mechanics.
The functional test station also uses test software developed in-house. It performs the following:
- Encapsulation of complex tests with clear graphical user guidance
- Visualisation of test steps
- Carrying out the automated reproducibility tests
- Data storage in the database and in log files
As a result, statistical evaluations and the automated determination of key figures in real time are possible. Test certificates can therefore be created quickly and precisely. Quality and efficiency indicators like mean time between failure (MTBF), first pass yield (FPY) and variance time comparisons can be accessed at any time. This also enables early detection of maintenance requirements (predictive maintenance).
With these three essential components, SYS TEC electronic has been successfully developing test systems for electronics production for many years, also using them in its own series production. As a result, modular test hardware with modular and framework-based software is available. The development times are short and the test systems are thus optimally adapted to the respective products. The modern graphical user interface reduces staff workload to a minimum and reduces the risk of operating errors.
