sysWORXX Lösungen verbinden Welten

Nothing is impossible!

True to the motto ‘Thought, done’, medium-sized members of Marktplatz Industrie 4.0 e. V. have come together for the second time this year to jointly develop a comprehensive technological solution for the manufacturing sector. With the aim of avoiding potential trade-offs for customers, the five specialists worked together in a decentralised manner to quickly develop an IIoTdemonstrator. Among other things, this implements the following use cases across the entire value chain, thereby resolving key day-to-day production problems such as under-utilisation ofresources, excessive unit costs and unnecessary downtime caused by a lack of transparency in processes:

  1. Climate data monitoring via a mesh network,
  2. key performance indicators from the edge dashboard through to the ERP,
  3. Digital twin of the entire production process,
  4. Machines as smart products for flexible manufacturing,
  5. Smart maintenance through business process automation

sysWORXX Solutions – from the field to the cloud and back

sysWORXX solutions bridge worlds – from the field to the cloud and back; our components facilitate data aggregation and serve as an execution platform for our partners’ software components.

Our CTR-700 is used as the interface to the production line and the demonstrator’s existing base controller, a Siemens S7. As an edge controller and freely programmable controller, it facilitates the seamless integration of industrial sensors and actuators, as well as data aggregation and transfer to the connected applications, ERP/MES and cloud systems.

On our open, Linux-based edge device, we implement the execution platform for the qBee device management system, the SQL4 Automation Agent and the Transconnect service modules – the CTR-700 thus forms the linchpin of the shop floor–top floor link.

We achieve a clear separation of the software components through virtualisation using Docker. This ensures there are no dependencies between the applications and simplifies software maintenance. Communication takes place via standard interfaces – the integrated MQTT broker and a MariaDB database are used for data exchange between components, from OT to IT. The qBee Agent enables secure management of all applications. Visualisation in the field is implemented via Node-RED.

The use of our mesh solutions for environmental data analysis generates additional value.
