We, too, took part in the Saxony-wide ‘SCHAU REIN’ week to give interested pupils the chance to experience the workplace first-hand.
This allowed us to welcome interested pupils to our production facilities. The ‘A Day as a Software or Hardware Developer’ programme was also very well received, and so our ‘senior’ developers let the ‘junior’ developers look over their shoulders to see the practical side of things, enabling them to get to know a typical day in the life of a techie through theoretical and practical tasks.
We also hosted a school trip for pupils from Netzschkau at our premises.
The pupils had the chance to put their skills to the test and try their hand at soldering. Naturally, they were able to take home the LED USB circuit boards they’d built themselves.
All in all, it was a resounding success, and through SCHAU REIN we’ve already recruited a new intern who will be providing valuable support to our development team.
We look forward to more exciting days and projects with our partner organisations, the regional schools and, in particular, the pupils – the vital skilled workers of the future.
