Basic module for structure-borne sound analysis

Analysing vibration data

The sysWORXX SSM-100, also known as the Structure-borne Sound Analysis Module, is a module designed for the acquisition and analysis of structure-borne sound vibrations. Up to 6 IEPE acceleration sensors can be connected directly to the device for this purpose. This enables, for example, the simultaneous acquisition of motion data at two measurement points in all three spatial axes. Alternatively, up to six independent sources of motion can be analysed.

The data recorded by the sensors is processed using digital signal processing and then converted into the corresponding frequency spectrum using FFT (Fast Fourier Transformation). The spectra, together with their RMS values, are transmitted via the Ethernet interface to the higher-level control system, such as the sysWORXX CTR-800. Further analysis and evaluation of the vibration data then takes place here.

The module developed by SYS TEC electronic can be flexibly adapted to a wide range of applications. The transformation and filter algorithms used are flexible and can be individually tailored to customer requirements.
