PLCmodule-C14 - compact and powerful PLC module

The PLCmodule-C14 is a high-performance and versatile compact PLC module. It has a
number of communications interfaces and a large selection of industry-proven
inputs and outputs. The PLC module is programmable according to IEC 61131-3 and is
fully integrated into the OpenPCS programming environment.
Two independently
utilizable CAN-bus interfaces are available for communication on field-bus
level. Two CAN-bus interfaces and the Ethernet interface provide fast access for
process data exchange, programming and debugging. All I/O
states as well as the PLC module status are concisely displayed via LEDs. No special
tools required for basic device configuration. An integrated command shell
handles extended device configuration (configuration of IP address, CAN
interfaces ect.) and diagnosis.
There are several versions of the PLCmodule-C14 available; Choose from RS232,
CAN-bus or Ethernet for access to the PLC module.

COM-Object based Automation Server
For easy integration of PLC control and data exchange functionality into your
own application we provide the Automation Server package, which is based on
COM-objects. It makes possible the connection to database implementations or
customer-specific visualisation software.
System Native Extension (SNE)An outstanding feature of the PLCmodule-C14 is its System Native Extension
(SNE). The SNE allows for expansion of the PLC firmware with user-specific
native code functions written in C programming language. Therefore the
PLCmodule-C14 features a special programming interface to enable direct access
to the CPU and its peripheral units (Interrupts, Timer, Counters, ect.). Using
the SNE you can include runtime optimized calculations, timer and hardware
interrupt tasks to the PLC application. With its enhanced performance and
extremely reduced latency times on interrupts, the PLCmodule-C14 closes the gap
between a standard PLC and embedded controllers. Because SNE applications are
downloaded with the PLC program, it is possible to provide scalable features
based on a unique device.
