ECUcore-5208

The ECUcore-5208 belongs to the SYS TEC’s ECUcore family. It integrates all elements of a microcontroller system on a board. Due to the most modern SMD packages and by the multilayer design, the module could be manufactured on minimum size.

The dimensions of the board are 72mm x 51mm and with two included board connectors it is multifunctional in embedded systems.

The ECUcore-5208 includes a Freescale MCF5208 device. It is a highly integrated 32-bit microprocessors based on the Version 2 ColdFire microarchitecture. It contains a 16kiB internal SRAM and 8kiB configurable cache.

The standard memory configuration consists of SDRAM, NOR-FLASH and EEPROM. Optionally NAND-Flash is available. The ECUcore 5208 is populated with up to three UARTs and one Ethernet interface. In addition the module disposes of a serial peripheral interface and I2C module. A pair of 2mm pitch pin-header connectors interface the ECUcore-5208 to the carrier board.
