The on-chip FLASH and RAM makes the DIPmodul-F40 ideal suitable for
application where costs are a crucial part. This tiny yet highly
cost-effective insert-ready Single-board
computer is based on the Fujitsu MB90F352S microcontroller. The size of
a 40-pin DIP device with single row SMD
pin header connectors in 2.54 mm pitch, the board is designed for use
as a universal core component in a customer application design.
Various port lines of the MB90F352S microcontroller are available to
the
target application board on utilizable as IO as well as communications
interface alternatively. The DIPmodul-F40 is on-board programmable via
bootstrap bootloader. This allows the
DIPmodul-F40 to be plugged into a target application like a “big
programmable chip”.
The on-chip Full-CAN controller and the various serial interfaces
(LIN,SPI,RS232) enables the
DIPmodul-F40 to be used as network node within a CAN system or as
gateway unit between two field-bus systems.
Up to 32kB of serial EEPROM
memory is available for the non-volatile saving of process variables
and data. The FLASH is programmable on-board via serial interface.
External peripheral devices can be easily extended using the SPI bus.
The driver-software for the on-board peripheral devices are delivered
in source-code.
